Manage Connections

The Connections page in Data Hub is your central view for all configured connections. From here, you can add new connections, monitor their status, and manage existing ones.

Add Connection

Add a new connection to a source system. Each connector topic covers what is needed.

Connections List

The connections list displays all configured connections.

Column Description

Name

The display name assigned to the connection.

Connector

The source system the connection is linked to, such as Oracle ERP Cloud or Infor FSM.

Status

The current state of the connection - Connected or Disconnected. A Disconnected status means the connection is not active and may require attention.

Last Replication

The status and timestamp of the most recent replication run.

Actions

Options to edit, test, and delete a connection. Oracle BICC connections also include Manage Metadata to manage Oracle BICC jobs.

Edit a Connection

To update the settings for an existing connection:

  1. Go to Data Hub > Connections and select the ellipsis in the Actions column for the connection you want to edit.
  2. Select Edit from the menu.
  3. Update the fields as needed across the Basics and Connect tabs. Select Next to advance to the next tab.
  4. Select Save Changes.

Test a Connection

To verify that a connection can reach the source system:

  1. Go to Data Hub > Connections and select the ellipsis in the Actions column for the connection you want to test.
  2. Select Test Connection from the menu. Data Hub validates the connection and displays the result.

Delete a Connection

To remove a connection you no longer need:

  1. Go to Data Hub > Connections and select the ellipsis in the Actions column for the connection you want to delete.
  2. Select Delete.
  3. Confirm the deletion when prompted.

Important: Deleting a connection removes all associated configurations and stops data extraction from that source. This action cannot be undone.
