| Setting | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Enable Batch Function Execution | Instructs Reporting Intelligence to evaluate certain types of functions within a report in batches, providing a performance improvement under certain reporting scenarios. |
| Cache Function Results | Instructs Reporting Intelligence to cache function results while running a report. Reporting Intelligence functions may be evaluated 3 times or more during a report run, so caching the values during the report run improves performance. Cached results can grow very large and cause Excel to run out of memory for very large reports on 32-bit systems. |
| Enable Excel Automatic Calculation When Restoring Formulas | Instructs Reporting Intelligence to enable automatic Excel calculation when restoring formulas when entering design mode. This should make entering design mode or running reports from report mode faster |
| Disable Excel Multi-Threaded Calculation When Running Reports |
Instructs Reporting Intelligence to disable Excel multi-threaded calculation when running reports. Excel’s multi-threaded calculation can cause formulas to evaluate prematurely, resulting in errors and re-calculations. This only applies to older versions. Reporting Intelligence 2019 and higher utilized multi-threaded calculations under most circumstances. |
| Enable cache tables for Business Central Web Services data sources | This setting instructs Reporting Intelligence to enable the Table Cache Optimization while running a report, improving the report performance for Web Services data source connections. This only applies to Business Central Web Services data sources. |
Reporting Intelligence Ribbon
Allows the user to choose which buttons appear on the Reporting Intelligence ribbon.
Updates
Determines whether a notification will be displayed in the Reporting Intelligence ribbon when a newer version of Reporting Intelligence is available.
