Purchasing Reporting Intelligence
You can purchase Reporting Intelligence licenses through insightsoftware Central. This self-service portal has the following benefits:
- Immediate, on-demand access to licenses.
- Full control over license management and user assignments.
- Transparent pricing you can review before purchase.
- Simplified workflow that lets you quickly complete purchases.
Reporting Intelligence eCommerce is open to all customers, partners, and add-on purchasers.
Jet Reports licenses are available for purchase through insightsoftware partners only.
Accessing the eCommerce Experience
There are two ways to access the Reporting Intelligence eCommerce experience:
- From the insightsoftware website — Navigate to insightsoftware.com and select Reporting Intelligence from the product pages. This path is designed for new users who do not yet have an insightsoftware account. You can browse products and review pricing before registering.
- From insightsoftware Central — If you already have an insightsoftware account, log in at https://central.insightsoftware.com, click the quad box, and select Buy Now to access the eCommerce experience directly.
Both paths lead to the same eCommerce experience. The path you use depends on whether you are a new or existing insightsoftware user.
Purchase Reporting Intelligence
The self-service purchase process involves accessing insightsoftware Central, configuring a product bundle that fits your needs, and making a payment.
Before You Start
Make sure the following prerequisites are fulfilled:
- New users — If you don't have an insightsoftware account yet, you'll be prompted from website to purchase the product. You can select your product bundle and review pricing before registering. You'll be prompted to register after adding items to your cart.
- Existing users — If you already have an insightsoftware account, log in first at https://central.insightsoftware.com, click the quad box, and select Buy Now to access the eCommerce experience.

Step 1: Select Product Bundle in insightsoftware Central
- Navigate to insightsoftware Central at https://central.insightsoftware.com.
- Select the product you're interested in from the Featured Products section.
- Select the number of Licenses you'd like to purchase using the Add and Remove buttons.

Click Configure. The Configure Your Bundle side panel opens with the following sections:
- Licenses — displays the license packages.
- Implementation — enables you to select guided installation. You can uncheck this option.
- Data Connectivity — Reporting Intelligence supports Standard ERP connections.
- Training — enables you to select a learning workshop or eLearning materials.
The prices displayed are manufacturer's suggested retail prices (MSRPs). Any applicable discounts will be applied after the quote is generated during the finalization step.
- Click Add to Cart.
You have configured the product bundle and added it to the cart.
If you need to order products outside the available packages, the order must be placed separately through an order form.
Step 2: Review Cart
- Navigate to the insightsoftware Central landing page and click the Cart icon in the top-right corner.
- Review the items in the cart.
- (Optional) Use the following options to modify items:
- Clear Cart — empties the cart.
- Delete — removes an individual item.
- Add and Remove — change the number of licenses.
- Click Register. Complete the CAPTCHA verification. The Create Account screen displays.
Step 3: Create an Account
This step applies only to users who don't have an insightsoftware account yet. If you have an account, skip to Step 4: Finalize Purchase .
- Enter your First Name and Last Name.
- Enter your Business Email.
- Enter your Company Name.
- Select your Billing Country from the drop-down list.
- Select your ERP System from the drop-down list.
- (Optional) Select Email Opt In to receive marketing emails.
- Click Sign Up. A welcome email is sent to your address.
You have created an account. Proceed to activating the account.
Step 3.1: Activate Account
- Navigate to your inbox and open the welcome email from insightsoftware.
- Click Activate my account. The log-in screen displays.
Step 3.2: Change Password
- On the log-in screen, enter your email address and click Continue.
- Fill in the New Password and Confirm New Password fields and click Continue.
You have successfully created and activated your account. After logging in, you can return to your cart.
Step 4: Finalize Purchase
- In the Billing Address section, fill in your company name and address.
- (Optional) Disable Shipping address is same as billing address if the shipping address differs, and fill in the relevant details.
- Enter your VAT/GST/Tax ID Number, if applicable.
- Click Next. The checkout process begins. When complete, Your Quote displays the total amount due.
- Accept insightsoftware's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy and click Proceed to Payment.
- Enter your payment details and click Pay.
The purchase is complete. An order confirmation email is sent to your address. You can now configure Reporting Intelligence for users in your company.
Payment method depends on how the original purchase was made. If you purchased Reporting Intelligence via eCommerce, additional licenses are charged via Stripe. If your original purchase was made through a traditional sales order, additional licenses are invoiced on the back end.
Understanding Reporting Intelligence Bundles
Reporting Intelligence is available in two bundles. Each bundle includes required components and optional add-ons. The bundle selected at initial purchase determines which components apply to future amendments.

Selecting the Right Bundle
Consider the following when choosing between bundles:
- Team size — The Professional bundle defaults to 5 users; the Essential bundle defaults to 3 users. Both can be expanded.
- Power Up Add-On needs — If you plan to use the Power Up Add-On immediately, the Essential bundle includes one by default.
- Budget — Contact your insightsoftware representative to compare bundle pricing for your specific requirements.
Add Named User Licenses to an Active Contract
Follow these steps if you are an existing Reporting Intelligence customer who needs to increase the number of named user licenses on an active contract. This is the only license change available through the self-service portal for existing contracts.
Spreadsheet Server is not available to purchase via eCommerce; it must be purchased directly through insightsoftware. When adding licenses to an existing Spreadsheet Server contract, the payment method must match the original purchase method: if Spreadsheet Server was originally purchased via eCommerce, additional licenses are paid via Stripe; if purchased through a traditional sales order, additional licenses are invoiced on the back end.
Step 1: Sign In to the Portal
Navigate to https://central.insightsoftware.com and sign in with your credentials. After entering your email address and password, insightsoftware sends a verification code to your email; enter the code to access insightsoftware Central.
If you are unsure of your login credentials, contact your account administrator.
Step 2: Access Contract Management
There are two ways to access your contracts:
- On the insightsoftware Central landing page, click Contracts.
- Click Buy Now, then navigate to the top-right corner, select the profile icon, and select Contracts.
The Contracts page displays your active Reporting Intelligence contracts.
Step 3: Add Licenses to Your Active Contract
Locate your active Reporting Intelligence contract and select the contract number or the Add Licenses button. The Add Additional Licenses modal opens. Only the Named User license is available for self-service addition.
Step 4: Select License Quantity
Use the Add and Remove buttons to set the number of additional named user licenses. The modal displays the per-unit price and a running total.
For contracts with remaining term, additional licenses are pro-rated based on the time remaining. You are charged only for the period from today through your contract end date.
Select Confirm Amendment to proceed.
Step 5: Review the Order Quote Summary
Review the quote summary, which includes the quote number, quantity and unit price for named user licenses, pro-rated subtotal, and tax and total amount due.
The prices shown are your final personalized prices, not list prices. If you have questions about the pricing displayed, select Need help with pricing before completing the order.
Step 6: Confirm Order Completion
Review the Terms of Service and select Complete Order. The order confirmation page displays your order number.
- If your original Reporting Intelligence purchase was made via eCommerce, payment is processed immediately via Stripe and a receipt is sent to your email address.
- If your original Reporting Intelligence purchase was made through a traditional sales order, you will be invoiced on the back end.
New named user licenses are provisioned automatically and are available for assignment immediately.
Amendment purchases create new line items on your contract, distinct from the original purchase lines. This ensures accurate renewal calculations.
Step 7: Assign New Licenses to Users
- Select Access Product to open insightsoftware Central.
- On the Users page, select the user to whom you want to assign a license.
- Under Products, scroll to Reporting Intelligence and select the Named User license checkbox.
- Select Update user to save.
You have assigned additional licenses to users.
