Reporting Intelligence Release Notes
This topic contains Reporting Intelligence updates.
26.2.1
New Features
- Added the possibility to automatically configure SharePoint storage. For more information, see Configure SharePoint Storage for Reports Center.
26.2
Reporting Intelligence 26.1 and 26.2 are closely paired releases. Version 26.1 introduces the agentic layer that monitors your reports and flags what deserves attention. Version 26.2 delivers the unified product experience, guided onboarding, and broader ERP support. Together, they mark the first full release of Reporting Intelligence as a single, connected experience for the Office of the CFO.
Note:
insightsoftware rolls out Reporting Intelligence capabilities progressively through controlled feature releases. Availability of specific features may vary by customer, license tier, and connected ERP, and some capabilities continue to expand in later releases. Contact your insightsoftware account team to confirm what is available for your organization.
Version 26.2 consolidates Reporting Intelligence into a single product with one place to sign in, set up, and work:
- One home for your daily work. After you sign in, you land on a personalized dashboard shaped around your role and recent activity, with unified navigation to reporting, dashboards, licensing, and support. You no longer move between separate tools or portals.
-
Guided setup wizard. The wizard launches automatically for the first administrator and walks you through confirming your organization details, connecting your ERP, and inviting your team:
- Organization details are prefilled from your account, which cuts down on manual entry.
- A progress indicator tracks every stage, and you can save your work and resume later.
- A completion summary confirms your setup and points you into your dashboard.
-
ERP connection and data replication. Choose a direct connection for a quick start, or replicated data for faster performance, complete historical data, and shared access across your team:
- ERP-specific instructions cover service accounts and credentials, and a built-in connection test confirms everything works before you continue.
- Replication runs in the background so you can keep working. A status indicator shows progress, and Reporting Intelligence emails you when your data is ready.
- If something needs attention, Reporting Intelligence tells you what to do next.
- Reporting in the browser with Office Online. Excel-based reporting from insightsoftware, including Jet, Spreadsheet Server, Wands for Oracle, Wands for SAP, and Atlas, now works in Office Online. Open a worksheet from any device through a web browser and view live data with a consistent add-in experience across products. Use Open in Desktop App for advanced tasks that require the full feature set.
- Built-in help. The Customer Resource Center is embedded in the product. A help panel opens from any page and offers search and context-aware articles, so you can find answers without leaving your workflow.
- User and license management. Administrators no longer need a separate console. From within the product, you can view available licenses, invite team members individually or in bulk, assign license tiers, and designate additional administrators.
- Single sign-on from the insightsoftware community. Community participants use the same sign-in credentials when they become customers, so their identity and history stay intact.
- Expanded ERP support. Report support now extends to additional cloud ERPs connected through Cloud Connector, broadening the range of customers and data sources that can use the integrated reporting experience.
26.1
Version 26.1 brings reporting inside the product and adds the first agentic capabilities:
- Reports Center. Reporting Intelligence now includes the reporting experience rather than sending you to a separate destination. View, filter, and manage reports inside the product through a refreshed, consistent interface. This foundation supports the agentic capabilities below.
-
Rule Agent. The agent monitors your financial reports and flags time-sensitive events, so you can act quickly instead of watching your data continuously. It serves finance professionals such as CFOs, controllers, and analysts:
- Configure thresholds and choose from multiple trigger types, including threshold breaches, variances, trend deviations, and calendar-based events.
- A four-tier priority system makes the most critical items stand out.
- Alerts appear on your home dashboard and in a dedicated alerts view, each with context explaining what triggered the alert and why.
- Snooze alerts, adjust sensitivity, and share them with colleagues in your organization.
- Agents run against the reports you have access to and respect the permissions and data boundaries already in place for your account.
- Insights and Recommendations. Reporting Intelligence analyzes your report data automatically and pulls the findings together, identifying items worth investigating that you might not have thought to look for. Insights appear in plain language with the reasoning behind them, so you can move from understanding to action. These capabilities are part of the Lineos family, AI powered by insightsoftware.
