Reporting Intelligence Release Notes — Versions 26.1 and 26.2
These release notes cover two closely paired releases of Reporting Intelligence. Version 26.1 introduces the agentic layer that monitors your reports and surfaces what deserves attention. Version 26.2 delivers the unified product experience, guided onboarding, and broader ERP support. Together, they mark the first full release of Reporting Intelligence as a single, connected experience for the Office of the CFO.
Version 26.2 — Unified Reporting Experience
One Home for Your Daily Work
Version 26.2 consolidates Reporting Intelligence into a single product. After signing in, you land on a personalized dashboard shaped around your role and recent activity, with unified navigation to reporting, dashboards, licensing, and support. There is no longer any need to move between separate tools or portals to get things done.
Guided Setup Wizard
New customers are walked through a guided setup wizard the first time they sign in. The wizard launches automatically for the first administrator and confirms your organization details, connects your ERP, and lets you invite your team — so your organization is configured and ready for productive use shortly after purchase.
- Organization details are pre-filled from your account to minimize manual entry.
- Progress is shown at every stage of the wizard, with the option to save and resume at any point.
- A completion summary confirms what was set up and provides a clear path into your dashboard.
ERP Connection and Data Replication
Reporting Intelligence guides you through connecting to your ERP and bringing your data in. You can choose a direct connection for a quick start, or replicated data for faster performance, complete historical data, and shared access across your team.
- ERP-specific setup instructions walk you through configuring service accounts and credentials, with a built-in connection test before you proceed.
- Replication runs in the background so you can continue working. A status indicator shows progress, and you receive an email when your data is ready.
- Clear guidance is provided if something requires attention, so you always know the next step.
Reporting in the Browser with Office Online
Excel-based reporting from insightsoftware — including Jet, Spreadsheet Server, Wands for Oracle, Wands for SAP, and Atlas — now works in Office Online. Open a worksheet from any device through a web browser and view live, up-to-date data with a consistent add-in experience across products. An Open in Desktop App option is available for advanced tasks that require the full feature set.
Built-In Help
The Customer Resource Center is now embedded directly in the product. A help panel is available from every page, with search and context-aware articles, so you can find answers without leaving your workflow.
User and License Management
Administrators can manage users and licenses directly inside Reporting Intelligence — no separate console required. From within the product, you can view available licenses, invite team members individually or in bulk, assign license tiers, and designate additional administrators.
Single Sign-On from the insightsoftware Community
People who engage in the insightsoftware community can use the same sign-in credentials when they become customers, keeping their identity and history intact and reducing the friction between purchase and first use.
Expanded ERP Support
Reporting Intelligence extends report support to additional cloud ERPs connected through Cloud Connector, broadening the range of customers and data sources that can use the integrated reporting experience.
Version 26.1 — The Agentic Layer
Reports Center
The reporting experience is now part of Reporting Intelligence rather than a separate destination. Report viewing, filtering, and management are available inside the product with a refreshed, consistent interface. This establishes the foundation for the agentic capabilities introduced in 26.1.
Alerts Agent
The Alerts Agent proactively monitors your financial reports and surfaces time-sensitive events so you can act quickly instead of continuously watching your data. It is designed for finance professionals — CFOs, controllers, and analysts — who need to stay ahead of what matters.
- Configurable thresholds and multiple trigger types, including threshold breaches, variances, trend deviations, and calendar-based events.
- A four-tier priority system so the most critical items stand out.
- Alerts are delivered to your home dashboard and a dedicated alerts view, each with clear context explaining what triggered the alert and why.
- Controls to snooze, adjust sensitivity, and share alerts with colleagues in your organization.
Agents run against the reports you have access to and respect the same permissions and data boundaries already in place for your account.
Insights and Recommendations
Insights and Recommendations analyzes your report data automatically and synthesizes findings — identifying items worth investigating that you might not have thought to look for. Insights are presented in plain language with the reasoning behind them, so you can move quickly from understanding to action. These capabilities are part of the Lineos family, AI powered by insightsoftware.
Availability and Rollout
Reporting Intelligence capabilities are rolled out progressively using controlled feature releases. Availability of specific features may vary by customer, license tier, and connected ERP, and some capabilities will continue to expand in subsequent releases. Contact your insightsoftware account team to confirm what is available for your organization.
