Working with Reporting Intelligence for BC Cloud for Excel Online

This section contains task-oriented guides for common Reporting Intelligence add-in operations. Each guide assumes you have access to Reporting Intelligence add-in, and have configured your data source. If you haven't, see .

Run a Report

1. On the Reporting Intelligence tab, click Run. The Report Status pane opens.
2. Monitor the report execution status. You can close the pane and reopen it later by clicking Report Status on the ribbon.
3. When the report is complete, click the three-dot menu next to the report entry and select Open in browser.

The completed report opens in a new browser tab.

Drill Down into Report Data

Use drilldown to see the underlying Business Central data behind a specific cell value.

1. In a completed report output, select the cell you want to investigate.
2. On the Reporting Intelligence tab, click Drilldown. The Report Status pane appears.
3. Wait until a new browser tab opens.

The new tab displays the Business Central Cloud instance with the data behind the selected value.

Modify a report in Design Mode

1. Open a completed report output.
2. On the Reporting Intelligence tab, click Design. The workbook switches to Design Mode, showing formulas and placeholder values instead of computed results.
3. Click the cell containing the formula you want to change.
4. Click Function Wizard on the ribbon. The wizard opens with the existing function parameters pre-populated.
5. Change the values you need to modify.
6. Click Apply.
7. On the Jet Reports tab, click Run to regenerate the report with the updated parameters.

Access Reports Center

1. On the Reporting Intelligence tab, click Access Reports Center.
2. A new browser tab opens and directs you to the Jet Reports Center web application.

From there, you can browse, manage, and schedule your reports.
