Intelligence Layer Overview

The Intelligence Layer is a workspace where built-in Intelligent Agents analyze your financial report data behind the scenes. They deliver actionable insights that support strategic business decisions. In this workspace, you can do the following:

  • Manage Intelligent Agents, by enabling or disabling them, or defining the criteria they use for analysis.
  • Monitor Results of data analysis performed by the Agents.
  • Configure notifications related to Results.

Intelligent Agents

Intelligent Agents are AI-powered tools that work in the background to analyze your reports.. They help you discover specific information you need and unexpected insights you might have otherwise missed. The following agents run in the Intelligence Layer:

  • Rule Agent - Helps you find information you need. Performs analysis of a report Business Views based on criteria that you define, called Rules. Runs automatically each time the report data is updated, for example when you run the report manually, or when the report runs on a configured schedule. You can modify or delete the Rules defined for this Agent.
  • Insights Agent - Helps you find information that may be outside of your focus, called Insights, that are a significant addition to the overall analysis process. Monitors all Business Views in a report to identify anomalies or surface areas of interest to the user. each time the report data is updated, for example when you run the report manually, or when the report runs on a configured schedule. You can enable or disable Insights.

Rules

Rules outline what you would like to monitor in Business Views from your reports. Based on a Rule, the Rule Agent performs data analysis considering your defined monitoring criteria, and delivers targeted results.

Insights

Insights are smart observations that the Insights Agent discovers in your reports.

Monitoring Results

When the Intelligent Agents complete analyzing your report, the software notifies you and the connected rule subscribers through selected channels that the result is ready to view. You can monitor results history and details in Reporting Intelligence Reports Center > Intelligence Layer > Results. You can see two types of results:

  • Rule Results - Results of analysis performed by the rule agent based on defined rules. The software sends them when the Agent detects that the conditions set out in a rule have been fulfilled.
  • Insights - Results of analysis independent of defined rules and performed by the Insights Agent.
