Connect to Data Hub

Other ERPs - this article only applies to Reporting Intelligence for other ERPs

After installing Reporting Intelligence for Other ERPs, connect the add-in to your ERP data through Data Hub. Data Hub is the web-based interface where you create and manage connections, replication tasks, and business views.

Reporting Intelligence for Other ERPs supports the following ERP systems through Data Hub:

  • Oracle ERP Cloud
  • NetSuite
  • Infor FSM
  • Infor M3

Step 1: Set Up a Connection in Data Hub

Before you can run reports, set up a connection to your ERP system in Data Hub. Review the Data Hub overview, then follow the setup guide for your ERP system.

  1. Review Data Hub Overview to understand how Data Hub connects to your ERP system and replicates your data.
  2. Review Connections Overview for prerequisites and permission requirements.
  3. Follow the setup guide for your ERP system:

Step 2: Create and Run Replication Tasks

After setting up a connection, create replication tasks to extract and sync data from your ERP system into Data Hub. Replication tasks must run successfully before the add-in can access your data.

  1. Follow the steps in Create a Replication Task to define which data to extract and how often to sync it.
  2. Run the replication task. For more information, see Run Replication Tasks.

Step 3: Configure the Connection in Application Configurator

After replication tasks have run successfully, copy the endpoint URL from Data Hub and add it as a new connection in Application Configurator. This connects the add-in to your replicated ERP data.

  1. In Data Hub, go to Connections and select Integration Resources.
  2. Under Replicated Data Endpoints, copy the URL for your environment (Production, UAT, or Development). For more information, see Use Replicated Data Endpoints for insightsoftware Products.
  3. Open Application Configurator.
  4. On the Connections tab, select New.
  5. In the Connection Type field, select CloudConnectorSaaS.
  6. Enter a name in the Connection Name field.
  7. In the Host Name/IP Address field, paste the endpoint URL copied from Data Hub.
  8. Select Test Connection to verify the connection.
  9. Select Save.

Note: The endpoint URL is available in Data Hub only after a replication environment has been provisioned and at least one replication task has run successfully. If Replicated Data Endpoints is empty, verify that a replication environment exists and that replication tasks have completed.
